Frequently asked questions

Can you briefly describe your design process?

I follow a user-centered design process.  This involves clearly understanding the project goals and determining user needs through research, brainstorming solutions, prototyping to test those solutions, and iterating based on feedback from stakeholders. Visually, I translate these solutions into clear and engaging designs that are aesthetically pleasing and don't compromise function.

What is your design principle?

My design principle is to achieve a balance between usability and aesthetics. A successful design should be not only easy to use and navigate but also visually appealing and engaging. This creates a positive user experience fostering meaningful connections between people and products. This ultimately affects the overarching goal of reaching business targets.

How do you handle feedback and revisions?

Feedback is a chance to get more insight into the project and determine what worked and what didn't.

Before diving into revisions, I like to clarify the feedback to understand the underlying reasons. This helps me make targeted changes that address the core issue.

I create a change list and prioritize suggestions.

Sometimes, there might be technical or UX considerations that may impact the initial suggestion. I'll always communicate these clearly while offering alternative solutions.

How do you balance creativity with meeting project goals and deadlines?

I balance creativity with project goals and deadlines through a structured approach. Here's how:

  1. Deep User Understanding: Thorough user research and understanding user needs fuel creative solutions that directly address their problems.
  2. Brainstorming & Prioritization: I dedicate dedicated time for creative exploration through brainstorming and ideation. Then, I prioritize concepts that best align with project goals and user needs.
  3. Iterative Design & Feedback: I work in an iterative design process, allowing for continuous refinement and feedback loops. This ensures creative ideas are honed to meet project goals within the timeframe.
  4. Communication & Transparency: I maintain open communication with the team, keeping everyone informed about creative decisions and their impact on the project timeline.

This approach allows me to explore creative avenues while ensuring the final design solution serves the project's objectives and is delivered on time.

What do you bring to the team?

I bridge the gap between usability and desirability. I bring UX expertise to ensure user-centric design, coupled with strong visual communication skills to create beautiful and intuitive interfaces.
